Viator Travel operates tourism which fosters principles of Sustainable tourism (minimising environmental impact, maximising cultural interaction and ensuring an economic benefit to the community) in all aspects of tourism which we provide for both individuals and groups. We provide tours for smaller groups (up to 16 people). With small groups we can minimize the negative and maximize the positive effects of tourism on every aspect of the environment and its inhabitants. As transportation is major factor in tourism, we support notion of greener transport choices such as cleaner vehicle options.Seasonal pressures: Through time-specific marketing campaigns we attempt to spread the influx of visitors throughout the whole year.Wherever possible we attempt to source accommodation providers who support and promote efforts of best environmental practice such as, recycling and conservation of water and other natural resources. |

We continuously strive to promote the use of recycled paper and other renewable resources.We recycle all of our residual promotional materials (brochures, etc).Our correspondence and promotion is carried out via the internet and email, minimizing the amount of paper used for our activities.We vigourously promote and support local, national and international ecological foundations. Following the disastrous fires in the Dubrovnik area back in 2007 our staff were directly involved in a programme of re-forestation in the area. |

We employ local people in local communities; our accommodation is largely provided in locally run guest houses, cottages, or apartments; our guides actively attempt to educate and inform guests about local, cultural, historical and environmental issues.On all our tours we use local produce and provide local-style meals, encouraging our guests to acquaint themselves with local dishes and delicacies.We promote the native economy and small businesses by supporting locally owned shops, restaurants, and employing local guide services. |
