STEP Self-Assessment Fees

Fees for STEP Self-Assessment Application submission, review, evaluation, processing and logo licensing are detailed below. These fees are non-refundable, are reviewed annually, and may be adjusted from time to time.

To provide the best value possible and help eliminate any barriers to entry, STEP Self-Assessment fees are based on annual gross revenues from your overall annual operations as follows:

Please note that the fees detailed above include STEP Self-Assessment submission, review, evaluation, processing and logo licensing only. Self-Assessment fees DO NOT include the cost of an on-site audit - which is optional - from a STEP-certified Assessor.

Also, note that failure to follow the directions outlined on our Apply for STEP web page may result in a delay in processing and or a surcharge of US$150 an hour.

On-site Audit Fees

STEP-certified Assessors are subcontracted by STI. The on-site audit fee for businesses that gross more than US$500,000 per year is US$1200 per day and is US$800 per day for businesses that gross less than US$500,000 per year.

Applicants who schedule an on-site audit agree to provide reasonable access through either free of charge or at-cost entry for STEP-certified Assessors to evaluate their products and or services.

Please note that on-site audit fees include the cost of the assessment only. These fees DO NOT include related travel expenses and travel time, which are normally charged at one half the full time rate. Contact us for more information.
