How is My Contribution Used to Offset My Carbon Emissions?

In using Sustainable Travel International's (STI) carbon footprint calculator, you have the option to make a contribution toward conservation carbon reforestation projects in developing countries, renewable energy projects in the United States, renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in developing countries, or a blend of all three portfolios.

Our Guarantee

STI guarantees to offset the amount of carbon dioxide calculated, by investing your contribution in carbon offset and renewable energy projects that are verified and or certified by independent third parties. An average of 80 percent of your contribution is typically allocated to the project portfolios that STI offers, the balance of which covers our overhead.
